It’s important to me that our communities know about financial planning so peace of mind is brought to individuals and families that might otherwise not receive it. As OLIO’s Brand Strategist & Community Advocate my role is to do exactly that – to share, inspire, and empower our clients and communities through building both relationships and financial plans. Two of the ways I do this are by creating and designing our financial education blog posts and leading our social media presence. If you haven’t already, check out our blog. My hope is you learn a bit more about what’s going on in our current economic and political environment, find a few tips and tricks for your financial situation, and keep up-to-date on what we’re up to and why it matters.
My career path has taken me across many disciplines from directing the weekend newscast at WDBJ7 to a freelance television producer for local programs and events such as the state-wide broadcast of the Miss Virginia pageant to serving as a Director of Marketing for a furniture store and several construction companies. As someone who values the art of communication, please let me know what else you’d like to see on our blog or if there is a format that would be more helpful!
While much of my focus is centered on educating and continuing to build relationships with our existing clients, I love having the opportunity to combine my previous experiences and marketing skills to introduce OLIO to a whole new audience. Through our outreach on the internet and community involvement, I strive to bring our message to people who have never before considered using a financial planner. I get really pumped when our message resonates with our audience because I know this means there’s a chance we can help one more individual or family pursue happiness!
