As a student of Philosophy and Economics, I find working in a small financial planning firm provides the perfect balance between the theoretical and analytical disciplines. The dynamics of a small business appeal to me, whereby I think you can see results faster than in a large company and have a direct impact on the decisions that are made. As the head of operations, I focus on quality and efficiency to serve our clients with speed and precision. Even though much of my work is behind the scenes, it allows me to partner with our planners to ensure an excellent client experience. I also work with clients who utilize our Outsourced CFO services helping them with budgeting and forecasting, employee benefit analysis, and practice management solutions.
I am always eager to learn new things! I recently became interested in gardening and permaculture. Learning about which plants and trees are most effective without taking away nutrients from the land has inspired me to consider one day owning a homestead of my own. Of course, if you are going to be knowledgeable about gardening and successful in your harvest, you certainly need to know how to apply those yields to make delicious food.
Cooking currently occupies a great deal of my free time as I broaden my culinary knowledge. I recently introduced French cuisine into my dining repertoire as my wife, Luvie and I just returned from our honeymoon in France.
As a side note, I am a native of New Hampshire, so if you are looking for the best places in the northeast to taste-test pure maple syrup or exquisite cheeses, I am happy to make recommendations.
